Unity 3D VR/TILT5 bridge asset.



  • Hi everyone,

    Im working on an asset that will be released later on to the asset store.
    The purpose of this asset is to let you use a holotable or normal table in a VR room to render the content just like you would with the Tilt5 SDK prefab.
    In this way you could easy share your game in VR as well as in Tilt5 with minimal changed to your project.

    The asset might be useful for most of developers as it makes it possible to play cross platform multiplayer.
    It is going to be implemented in one of the upcoming games but i thought it would be valuable to make an asset package out of it for other developers to use with ease.
    I will keep you all updated and let me know what you think.



  • @iByte Unity mars is slam based and a total different way tilt 5 is designed.
    Don't get so exited about those slam based AR devices they are relatively slow.
    Therefor Tilt5 approach fits gaming much better compared to those slam based devices as fast motion is a pain for slam atm.



  • I was hoping that maybe T5 could be used with Unity MARS project. I asked for access but they are ignoring me. 😞

  • So was my thought too, trying to make it in a way that different platforms can enjoy the same game together.
    The goal is not to unbalance game play but rather let the game be experienced different.



  • nice idea, depending on the game ofc, but always good to have another tool in the chest, include more players increase the base.
