Like you I found the standard tilt five cable way too short. I can confirm the USB C Female to Female Adapter below and an oculus link cable work without issue when connected to the USB-C port on a Dell Precision 7770 laptop. I tried shorter USB-C cables with the adapter, but the tilt five software would warn that it was not connected to a USB 3.0 port. It's great to have over 18 feet to freely move around Here is a link to what I used
